What does sustainability mean to you?
- I see it as huge challenge and opportunity that is larger and more complex than any major project delivered to date globally, so I’m delighted to be playing my part in the work of the major projects association.
- As part of this, I’ve been active in “retrofit” for many years – making our existing assets more sustainable. This is a huge and largely untapped market which presents an opportunity for us to establish a new built environment sector in the form we always wanted – industrialised, outcomes-focussed, with major opportunities for new skilled jobs and one that delivers massive societal outcomes. A major project if ever I saw one!
- But what does it really mean to me? EVERYTHING – to secure a future environment in which my three children can thrive.
