Sustainability in Press Operations
Summary
The role of the Press Operations team at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) was to ensure that the thousands of visiting journalists and photographers were able to get the information, interviews and pictures they required to tell the story of London’s Games to the world. Despite the need for fast and accurate information provision, sustainability, in particular reducing the amount of paper used by media during the Games, was a key consideration for the Press Operations team from the early planning stages.
