Programme and Project Data Standard
Published by Government Project Delivery, this Programme and Project Data Standard sets out mandatory requirements for how programme and project data must be created, formatted, and maintained across UK government departments and arm’s length bodies. Its aim is to improve data quality, consistency, and comparability to support better decision-making. The standard defines core data entities such as risk, cost, and milestones and aligns with existing functional standards including GovS 002: Project Delivery and GovS 005: Digital. Updates are communicated through Government Project Delivery and the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA).
