Irrigation system for the Olympic Park
Summary
The irrigation system for the Olympic Park is one of the largest landscape irrigation systems in the UK. Detailed estimates of rainfall, water consumption and evaporation data were used to determine the baseline water demand. An 80 per cent reduction in potable water use was achieved through use of a site-wide non-potable water network, provided via a black water treatment plant.
