Biodiversity: London Bridge Station
Summary
Sustainability has been a driving factor throughout the design and construction of London Bridge station. Focussing on increasing resource efficiency, reducing waste and carbon production and providing sustainable employment has led to many improvements for both the construction and operational phase. As part of its sustainability focus the project has created a legacy with the community through school outreach programmes.
As part of the project’s ongoing partnership with Snowsfields Primary School the team aimed to refurbish and enhance their wildlife garden while involving the students to help teach them about the importance of biodiversity.
