Is the recent thinking and engagement on collaboration significantly different from alliancing or partnering? Do all these approaches seek to engender a working relationship based on openness and trust, leading to or benefiting from longer term contracts and framework appointments?
At the beginning of 2012, BS 11000 was launched jointly by Government and businesses to encourage better working relationships and particularly to include SMEs who frequently deliver over half of total capital expenditure on major projects.
For this half day seminar we have assembled an experienced chairman, the Chief Executive of the Institute of Collaborative Working and a representative of Small and Medium Enterprises. Often at MPA seminars we hear how important SMEs are within the supply chain. This is a valuable opportunity to hear how we can incorporate them within a collaborative working environment. These presentations will inform our understanding of how to achieve fully integrated, single outcome focus throughout the supply chain and improve relationships across sectors.
After an opportunity to network over coffee, we shall have a joint presentation which demonstrates how collaboration can be measured and how a major consultancy assessed its potential for incorporation on future major projects.
The seminar should provide valuable lessons for application across all project types and industries.
