Developing Leaders for Major Projects - a global challenge across all sectors
Seminar
We are delighted to have secured David Pitchford as our Chair for this seminar. David heads up the Major Projects Authority, reporting into The Cabinet Office. Through their Leadership Academy the Government is developing its top talent to lead the delivery of the largest and most important 200+ public sector projects. David will address the key areas of focus for these projects and outline how the programme is increasing the effectiveness of this vital client group.
Two leading client-side and contracting Directors with a wealth of experience in technical and operational delivery will discuss fast-tracking project leaders across the successive phases of a variety of major projects and challenge the roles of leader and manager. They will explain how their companies identify and invest in project leaders bringing world-class knowledge and ideas to maximise the pool of resources.
In the second half of the seminar we shall hear how two global organisations invest and continually improve project leaders so that they can take on the onerous tasks of leading their companies’ major projects in any business sector in any part of the world.
With many Heads of Profession in the audience and several already identified key participants from the floor, this seminar should help everyone to compare the advantages of different approaches and perhaps even begin to work together to source and collectively grow this talent rather than compete for scare professional project skills of the highest order.
