Leveraging global capability to deliver major projects
Seminar
We know that Globalisation has a significant effect on how major projects are delivered. The execution and implementation stages are key to successful delivery, but just as important is the environment and the different cultures in which they are delivered that an expanded supply chain brings.
This event, through its Chair for the day, TC Chew – Projects Director at MTR Corporation in Hong Kong, will explore a range of major projects and associated issues including telecommunications, manufacturing, assembly and systems integration on a global scale, logistics, collaboration and partnerships between global organisations working in multi-locations, and the global supply chain, sourcing infrastructure and systems for a single high profile client.
Specifically, we will take away considered views on:
• Desire/need for international expansion by our own business and the clients we work with;
• Major projects that span more than one market;
• Major projects that are based in the UK with a global supply chain;
• Clients who wish to expand internationally and take their business to a global market (what does successful expansion look like);
• The significance of good logistics working in a remote location, especially relevant from oil and gas developments;
• The management of global clients and talent;
• Bringing a global team together;
• Resourcing programmes 24/7 local delivery teams, regional hubs and Global PMOs;
• Technology – what role does technology have in leveraging international capability and how can we utilise the technology we have to the best of its capability?
