Mobile reporting of transport
Summary
The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) Transport team submitted more than 3,500 reports in the build up to and during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It was essential that the amount of reporting, auditing and surveying required could be implemented in a timely manner without overburdening the teams. Cloud-based technology with mobile tablets allowed users to create more than 50 bespoke reports accompanied by location and photographic evidence with a minimal amount of administration time and resource. This system was not only cost effective it also improved operational efficiency through provision of clear and instant management and maintenance information.
