Insulation from renewable sources and healthy to install
Summary
Effective insulation is a fundamental component of any energy efficient and sustainable building. However, more often than not, little thought is given to the environmental impact of the actual insulation material being used. On the Olympic Park, several contractors sourced and installed insulation materials which were considered to be healthier for the operative installing the product (and potentially future maintainers) and which came from natural sources, such as plant matter or recycled material.
