The purpose of the Major Projects Association is very simple and we state them on the homepage of our website: “Connecting People. Sharing Experience. Improving Major Project outcomes.” Of course, none of that can happen without the involvement of our members and the broader the diversity of experience and the deeper the engagement of people within our network, the more we can say with confidence we are fulfilling that purpose.
With that in mind, it’s great to be able to showcase the newest members to join.
Gleeds
“At Gleeds, our mission is to shape the future of the built environment and the MPA brings together a community of practice across major infrastructure projects. We are looking forward to contributing to, and supporting, the member organisations’ agenda at a time when exciting change is taking place within our industry.” – Dave Corbin, Head of Programme and Project Management UK
Gleeds is a leading, global property and construction consultancy, whose work has included everything from the UK’s Priority Schools Building Programme, to project and cost management services for Airbus, and from the shutdown and turnaround programme for INOVYN (Ineos) to coordinating the rollout of the Army Basing Programme, which has been providing the facilities to enable more than 100 army units to relocate, reconfigure, disband or re-role and deliver the government’s 2010 Strategic Defence and Security Review commitment to bring all units back from Germany by 2020.
ResoLex
A key motivation to join the MPA was to expand our access to the wider knowledge and experiences of other people involved in the world of major projects. Whilst there are numerous professional organisations that meet to discuss the challenges of delivering large and difficult projects, the attraction of the MPA is the mix of organisations who all focus on similar challenges created by scale and complexity. Being able to meet and talk informally with others has already helped shape our thinking on a number of issues. Tony Llewellyn, Team Development Director.
ResoLex have provided an holistic approach to building and sustaining successful project teams to projects as varied as The Museum of Making, HS2, The Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia, and Crossrail East.
